What is WAIT UNTIL YOU TRY?
WAIT UNTIL YOU TRY makes short recipe films, each under a minute, paired with original music and songs created for that one dish. From viral food anthems and catchy cooking rhymes that celebrate the ingredients and method, to feel-good instrumental grooves matched to the mood and cultural roots of each dish, the soundtrack brings the recipe to life.
Every film has its own recipe page on this site with the ingredients, the method, the history of the dish, a fun fact and a longer article with its sources.
Are the films real cooking footage?
No. The films and their songs are AI-generated: there is no real kitchen, no real cook and no camera crew.
We say so everywhere: YouTube and TikTok posts carry the platforms' AI-content labels, and every description, caption and recipe page states it. No film shows or imitates a real person's face or voice.
Where do the recipes come from?
Each recipe is researched from the traditional version of the dish and from published sources: cookery references, food-history writing, official food bodies and established food publications.
Have you cooked these recipes?
Not in a test kitchen, and we never claim otherwise. The recipes follow the traditional method and standard proportions for the dish, but we have not kitchen-tested each one ourselves.
Treat them as a well-researched starting point: taste as you go, adjust to your equipment and follow official food-safety guidance for meat, eggs and frying oil.
Does a person check the films before they are published?
Yes. A person watches and approves every film and its song before release, and rejects anything that looks wrong, from the food itself to the way it is cooked.
Rejected films are remade or dropped. We never make the same dish twice, so every film is a different recipe.
What do you never do?
We keep a short list of rules that every film, song and page follows:
- No fake reviews, ratings or testimonials.
- No invented chefs, grandmothers or personas: the author is WAIT UNTIL YOU TRY.
- No real people's faces, likeness or voices.
- No copies or imitations of existing songs or artists: every song is original.
- No health or nutrition claims.
- No hidden or removed AI labels.
How can I request a dish or report a mistake?
Comment on any film with the dish you want to see next, or use the contact form on this site. Requests help decide what we make next.
If you spot a mistake in a recipe or in its history, tell us through the same form. We correct the page and credit the source.
